Offering a variety of payment methods including an e-wallet app, wearables, and the MuchBetter Prepaid Debit Mastercard®, MuchBetter serves over one million users across 100+ markets and drives financial inclusion in cash markets. Launched in 2017, customers can make deposits and withdrawals with over 550 merchant sites and use MuchBetter Wearables, such as key fobs, watches, bracelets, and more to make contactless and online payments. Their newest product, MuchBetter Gateway, has been designed to power e-commerce performance with their sophisticated API that gives merchants access a wide range of localised payment processors.

When MuchBetter needed help on a new project, they approached allpay cards, one of the fastest growing and most trusted brands in plastic card manufacturing in the UK.

Why did you approach allpay cards for this project?

As MuchBetter grows in terms of size and markets served, we realise that we need to build a wider supply chain to support our cards programs, and increasing the diversity of our suppliers is key to satisfying that need. Additionally, working with allpay cards as an additional supplier helps shore up our business continuity strategy across our markets. The MuchBetter team are also looking for new ways to enhance the customer experience, and wanted to be challenged in our thinking.

What did allpay cards do to start the process?

allpay cards provided a range of services to guide us through the journey, including allocating us with a dedicated Account Manager to manage various communications and interactions. allpay cards thought through our objectives, and fleshed out concepting and the rethinking of our card packaging, and how the solution will be a delightful start to the customer experience from unwrapping to card use.

allpay cards led the weekly calls on this project, providing minutes and actions points from to ensure the project remained on schedule. Any arising issues that needed allpay cards' input were quickly resolved with minimum impact to the overall project. They also provided assistance to MuchBetter with the concept and design of their new packaging which is now used across all suppliers.
