Leading UK card manufacturer and bureau, allpay cards has helped facilitate the launch of international money specialist, Equals’ newly branded prepaid currency card: Equals Go, plus its corporate expense card Equals Spend.
Over the last 13 years, as FairFX, the company has helped over a million individual and business customers move and manage their money. June last year saw a re-brand from FairFX to Equals, cementing the evolution of the business beyond purely foreign exchange, to a wider remit which better reflects how the company helps customers manage their money.
Marketing Communications Executive at Equals, Adam Baldwin, confirms:
“Our diversified offering needed a new identity to represent our full range of money management services and so Equals was borne! Equals enables our customers to get more out of their money, business, holidays, and everyday life.
“allpay had previously produced our FairFX cards and we had a good working relationship with the team. We understood allpay’s processes and they understand our journey, so it was a natural fit. We had clear designs in mind when we first started talking to allpay about the re-brand last year and they were able to bring these to life. The result is a simple yet striking design that champions our brand colours of charcoal and mango along with the universally recognised Equals symbol with personalisation on the reverse.
“Equals Go is a prepaid currency card that allows for up to 15 currencies to be held on one card at any given time. The card can be topped up on the go around the world using the mobile app and gives users access to Equals’ bank-beating exchange rates and low fees, helping them get more from their holiday money.
“Equals Spend is a spend management tool in the form of a prepaid card, mobile app and online platform. The card can be pre-loaded and given to team members wherever they are in the world. Equals Spend removes the need for the likes of petty cash, spreadsheets and paper receipts, while the online platform provides a management tool for financial controllers to oversee card transactions and control budgets.
“The implementation of the new cards has now been completed. We wanted to ensure that all of our customers were delighted with the new look from day one, so we worked closely with allpay on the carriers for the new cards which were all hand-matched at allpay’s UK manufacturing base. By spending time with the allpay team we understood what could be achieved in relation to card production, carrier design and distribution, ensuring our required levels of quality were met and maintained. The arrival of the card is the first physical representation of our new brand and so it was vital that this process was perfect.”
